Contest Rules & Regulations:

The Win a Trip to Asia Contest is presented by DPI Media Group Ltd., the Contest Sponsor.

Eligibility: Contest is open to all legal Canadian residents who are 25 years of age or older, and excludes employees of DPI Media Group Ltd., their respective business associates, their advertising and promotional agencies, persons with whom any of the above are domiciled and/or members of their respective immediate families.   An eligible entrant is a person who holds a subscription to Asian Gourmet magazine on or before 5:00 pm EDT on September 1, 2008.   In the case where a subscriber is a company, and there is no single person's name attached to that company, the subscriber will not be entered into the Contest.   Also, a subscriber is the person receiving the magazine subscription and not the person who paid for the subscription as a gift.

Entrants, by entering this contest, consent to the use of their name and/or photograph, without compensation, in any future publicity carried out by the Contest Sponsor in connection with this Contest.

Selection process: Winner will be randomly selected from among the pool of all eligible entries.   Contest Sponsor will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete, postage-due, destroyed or wrongly addressed entries.

There will be one (1) Grand Prize awarded, consisting of two return economy airfare tickets to one (1) city in Asia selected from a pre-defined list and excluding all fees (such as airport taxes, travel insurance, etc) .   Winner is solely responsible for bearing all remaining costs not expressly described herein.   Approximate retail value of the prize is $4000 . All necessary travel documents, including passport and visa (if applicable) are the responsibility of the traveller.   No change in travel arrangement can be made once the booking has been confirmed.

Contest Sponsor will provide one (1) or two (2) options for trip date and city from which the winner may choose.   If a winner is unable to attend for any reason whatsoever on the date or dates specified by the Contest Sponsor, or he or she cannot be contacted by September 15, 2008, then that winner shall forfeit all rights to the Grand Prize and shall not receive anything, including but not limited to any cash equivalent.   The Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded, and cannot be sold, transferred or redeemed for cash.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries.

The selected entrant will be required to correctly answer a time-limited skill-testing question before being declared a prize winner.   The prize winner must sign and return a waiver/release of liability as a condition to and in advance of receiving the prize in favour of the Contest Sponsor such that the Contest Sponsor shall not be liable for the use or misuse of the Prize.   The Contest Sponsor assumes no responsibility for the participation in the contest, or any liability, claims, demands, actions, loss, damage or personal injury that may be sustained by the winner of the Grand Prize.   In the event that the potential winner does not correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question within the time limit and does not sign and return the release form, the Contest Sponsor shall have the right to disqualify that potential winner and to draw an alternate potential winner from all remaining eligible entries received and the Contest Sponsor shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard.

By participating in the Contest, all entrants agree to be bound by these Rules and Regulations.   The decisions of the contest judges are final.   Contest Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend this promotion should a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorized human intervention or other cause beyond the Contest Sponsor's control, corrupt the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the contest.   The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw or terminate the Contest at any time without prior notice or to change the Rules and Regulations.   Contact or correspondence will occur only with the selected entrant who will be notified by mail or telephone.   This Contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations.
